Interactive Web Conferencing

Interactive web conferencing allows participants to take part in the conference in the
same manner as they would if you had all the participants gathered together in a large
meeting room. They can share ideas and give feedback, work together and view
presentations. They do all this by sitting in their own offices all over the world. The
interactive white board allows participants to write or draw on the screen and make it
visible to all the others. You can also share desktops so that all can see what you are
doing on your desktop. Participants can speak to one another or use text messaging in a
chat room.

It is a fact that you can save money for your business by utilizing web conferencing, but
you do need to plan for the conference, just as you would with a face-to-face meeting.
You should prepare an agenda so that the participants know in advance what topics will
be covered. This will save time answering questions during the meeting about what is
going to be covered. If you need to, you can also record the conference for later review,
but if this is not something that you would use on a regular basis you don't really need to
pay the extra costs associated with this feature.

There are also different types of interactive features you can have with the services. You
might want to make a presentation and allow the interaction to be audio only. Or you can
use webcams so that all participants can see one another. This will require a large
bandwidth and could mean more investment on the part of your business.

Some of the types of interaction that you can have with the web conference include:

- Interactive chat

- Interactive webcasting, and

- Interactive teleseminars.

Many companies are now using this method to provide training for employees in new
products or applications.
